Children Top

Was inspired by a baby version of dress, couldn't find a toddler or adult version of it (shhhh maybe I wasn't looking hard enough I don't know! Haha) so I just wing it. It fits my both 3 and 9 years old girl. The little one dress it as dress the elder ones as top but I haven't got time to take a picture yet. Jumping in to designing an adult version while battling to write out this scarf pattern!

It's REAL chunky and cozy, personally I am afraid of cold so I am happy this will keep me warm during Winter in coming months lol but the reason I haven't write the pattern out yet is it's still Summer in Australia and after a life changing decision to move to Brisbane we are still recovering from un-boxing and settling into this new place. I apologize my absent since Christmas I hope everyone are all well and happy~

Oh did I mention that I am loving the Brisbane lifestyle? So much going on and so wonderful! I really need to get on making more stuff for coming Winter while designing more patterns. Juggling with 2 children and business is not easy at all. Still a little overwhelming how 2-3 months can change a lot! Alas, burying myself to work again! :)

Sorting out with blog and what I am up to

Hi all,

Today is a massive day for me, I rung up ABN to get my old ABN reactivate as well as getting Miki's Crafty Corner as registered business name. I have always wanting to do that but time and time again I was forced not to due to financial difficulties. Today I told myself that if I don't do it today, I will just keep giving myself excuse to do it 'some other day'.

To my surprise, I was looking at my youtube account that I have had videos since 07', it wasn't much content to begin with. More a mini blog rather than taking serious approach on integrating with my crochet business which I intend to do in the very soon future.

There is another big thing coming, a fund raising market that I have commit to go 15 June 2014. I have few more dolls to make before due date as well as headbands to make too! Now before I giving all the details out, I wish you all have a happy evening~
Keep calm and rock on~

Meanwhile I video my children watching and sing a long to minecraft parody songs.

Market yikes!

Wow! Today is a huge step for me and Miki's Crafty Corner! I took the chance to doing another market for my handmade items eventhough it was just a car boot sales but I have noticed a lot of people taking interest with what I've made. I even manage to hand out or get request for business cards. Previously it was just a share table with other ladies but last minute got told that her table is full, but because I have announced that I will be going to the market I cringe my teeth and forked out $200 for a gazebo as long term investment. By the looks of it I will have to work extra hard to actively going to different markets to achieve the result. I also need another table for display which I intend to save up money for that. :) Other than the frustration I had on Friday and Saturday, today indeed is a GREAT DAY! The weather was beautiful and market crowd was pretty good considering it is their first market on this location.

I am scouting new location targeting the right kind of crowd. Phew~~~ I don't even know how people manage time for market while crochet stuff for it! :) Sounds crazy job to me.

Sunday catch up

I have been connecting the square together for the past few weeks. It has grown bigger and bigger. I am currently making the third square one by one and connect them whole others are waiting to be sew in when it comes to them.
There are heaps of work involve but I really love the randomness in it, I just grab whatever color available and some of the color are being more use than others ops! What do you think?

What happen this week?

This week has been a little hard for me. One of my client (the owner of rainbow elephant) has lost her little angel. I feel terrible sorry and tremendous sadness as I know she has been trying so hard to stay pregnant. Although we are not very close, she is my sister in law. I often hear my husband talking about him and his brother younger days. How they used to game together and spent heaps of time together... Since his brother moved out of house, he met me and they grew apart. It's sad for me to see how life changes people. Alas it is not my say on how things and action should be done to enable once a close tight relationship.
